Tom & JoAnn Doyle
Tom & JoAnn Doyle
Tom and JoAnn Doyle are the founders of Uncharted Ministries.
Tom Doyle fell in love with the Middle East on his first Bible tour of the Holy Land. In 1995 he became an official tour guide for the state of Israel and developed a passion for ministering to the Israeli people, Arabs and Jews alike. Tom and his wife, JoAnn, felt a call from God to full-time ministry there in 2001. In 2017 the Doyles launched Uncharted Ministries, which seeks to Inspire the Body of Christ to rise up join the new great awakening among Jews and Muslims in the Middle East and in uncharted territories around the world.
Tom and JoAnn began working in the heart of the Islamic world shortly after the terrorist attacks of September 11. Tom and JoAnn serve in places like Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Palestinian territories of Israel. The Doyles lead groups to the Middle East through their Lands of the Bible tours.
Tom is the former Vice President of e3 Partners. He is a master storyteller with several books highlighting God’s miraculous work among the Muslim people. His best-known books include Dreams and Visions, Killing Christians, and Standing in the Fire, which was a Finalist for the 2018 Book of the Year by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.
JoAnn and her husband, Tom, have been married for 38 years and have six children and seven grandchildren. JoAnn was a pastor’s wife for 20 years before God called the Doyle’s into full-time work in the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa in 2001.
What surprised JoAnn most of all is that soon after she began her work in the region, God birthed in her a heart for the women of the Middle East, especially Muslim women. “I was not in the least attracted to them and their needs, but soon God broke my heart for them. I was truly able to see them through our Father’s eyes.”
This led JoAnn to launch a ministry for Women in the Middle East named Not Forgotten. The team has ministered in Israel, Egypt, Gaza, The West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon, Afghanistan, India, Korea, and right here in the United States. The ministry reaches out to all women of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia but, specifically, is called to reach Muslim women with the love of Christ. JoAnn and the Not Forgotten team are highly sought after to train women in North America and around the world to engage Muslim women around them with the love and Good News of Jesus.
JoAnn leads expeditions for women overseas and speaks in many churches throughout North America. Her goal is to inspire women to have a heart for Muslim women and to be Jesus to them.
In 2017, God called JoAnn and Tom to launch Uncharted Ministries which calls believers to join God’s great harvest field among Jews and Muslims. JoAnn is also a regular guest on various national radio programs such as the Moody Radio Network with Chris Fabry, and Charles Dyer. She also co-wrote Breakthrough – The Return of Hope to the Middle East with Tom. Worship and prayer is the heart of JoAnn’s life, along with a deep love for her family.

After enduring intense persecution as a Christian raised in Islamic countries, Renod Bejjani spent 24 years filled with anger toward God and hatred toward Muslims. Through his redemption journey, he had a startling discovery: The Middle East and North Africa experienced a mass shift from primarily Christian to 99% Muslim, and a similar shift is happening in Western nations.
In 2011, Renod started iHOPE Ministries (iHOPEministries.org) and found himself serving the God he once denied, extending God’s transforming love to the very people he once hated. Renod’s unique childhood and decades of experience with Muslims prepared him for this time in history, for this specific task.

Dr. Hormoz Shariat
Dr. Hormoz Shariat
Dr. Hormoz Shariat is from a Muslim background and became a follower of Jesus in 1980 after a comparative study of the Bible and Quran. He has a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Theology from Jessup University. Through satellite, he has been broadcasting the Gospel into Iran and the Middle East since 2001 and has seen tens of thousands of Iranian Muslims come to Christ.
Dr. Shariat’s ministry, Iran Alive, has been featured in Christianity Today, Charisma, World Magazine and other publications. He has been a guest on various radio and TV stations such as CBN’s 700 Club, Daystar, and TBN, and is a frequent speaker at the Voice of the Martyrs conferences. He has been called, “The Billy Graham of Iran,” and is the author of Iran’s Great Awakening: How God is Using A Muslim Convert to Spark Revival (Iran Alive Ministries, 2020).
Dr. Steven Masood
Dr. Steven Masood
Dr. Steven Masood (formerly known as Masood Ahmad Khan) is a Christian from a sectarian Muslim background. He became a follower of Jesus in April 1973 in Karachi, Pakistan. His testimony has been published in a book called Into the Light, available in several languages, including English.
Steven has a Master of Theology degree and a Doctorate of Philosophy from the London School of Theology in association with Brunel University, London. Both research degrees were granted on writing theses on subjects related to Islam and Christianity. He has spent over 30 years studying and working in Christian-Muslim relations and has taught at several Christian institutions in Britain and the Far East.
Currently, Dr. Masood serves in full-time Christian ministry. He holds workshops and seminars with a Biblical and Qur’anic perspective on Islam. These presentations include topics related to the integrity of the Christian and Muslim Scriptures and ways to share the Gospel of Jesus. He has written several books, including The Bible and the Qur’an: A Question of Integrity and Jesus or Muhammad? A Question of Assurance.

Samya Johnson is a dynamic speaker, teacher, and author. Her Middle Eastern background and 30 years of experience in ministry to Muslims and equipping Christians bring a refreshing and authentic perspective to the Western church. Today Samya is heavily involved in writing, training, and educating the Western church about Islam and how to reach Muslims, as well as leading the operations of Call of Love Ministries.
Dr. Jim Phillips
Dr. Jim Phillips
Jim Phillips founded the C.S. Lewis Institute in Annapolis, Maryland in 2009 and is currently a Senior Fellow helping facilitate the discipleship of Believers in Christ from non-Western cultural backgrounds. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. After graduation he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an AV-8A Harrier pilot and in the corporate world as an information technology executive.
He received an MLA from St. John’s College, Annapolis, Maryland, a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology and Religion, Oxford University, UK, and a PhD in Islamic Studies from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies/Middlesex University, Oxford, UK. KayLyn Hopper has over thirty-five years of cross-cultural experience. She served as a missionary journalist in the Middle East with the International Mission Board as editorial director for Baptist Publications and also an editor for the magazine, Middle East & International Review. She lived in Beirut, Lebanon, Damascus, Syria, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
She teaches at Dallas Baptist University where for 14 years she has been teaching the courses, Understanding the Islamic Faith, Integrating Faith and Culture, Developing the Christian Mind, and Lifelong Learning. She holds a B.S.degree in Journalism from Texas Christian University and a M.Div. degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Russ Lambert’s first career is as an accomplished corporate attorney, financial advisor, turnaround & restructuring specialist, and Fortune 50 operating executive. He holds a doctorate in Juris Prudence and has passed the CPA exam, working in corporate law and private equity acquisitions. In his second career, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary obtaining a masters in Biblical Studies. He has completed an internship in Inner Healing and Deliverance, and supports various Christian ministries.

Dr. H has a Ph.D. in Islamic studies from Fuller School of Intercultural Studies, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary. He lived and ministered for two decades in the Arab world and Africa in church planting, field leadership, Theological education, and humanitarian aid. Dr. H has a global ministry of equipping people for more effective service in Muslim contexts.

Dr. S. is a sought after speaker on Muslim outreach issues. Born and raised in South Africa where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He joined the family retail business, and because of a love for teaching also joined the Commerce faculty at Rhodes University teaching business and accounting. As part of a call to reach the nations he completed a Master of Divinity degree in international church planting at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His particular calling has been to those who have never heard and this led to his family serving overseas in an unreached, restricted access area. He was blessed to see how the Lord is making Himself known among the unreached and is passionate about training others to help complete the task that remains. His Doctor of Theology studies have been through the University of South Africa, with a focus on the issues of contextualization and globalization in relation to the starting of churches among the unreached.
Dr. Justin Hiester
Dr. Justin Hiester
For ten years Dr. Justin Hiester served as a fighter pilot and instructor pilot in the United States Air Force (USAF). He spent most of these years with his family stationed and serving as an instructor pilot in the Middle East. After fulfilling his USAF active duty commitment, Justin and his family remained in Jordan as missionaries while also serving as an associate pastor and pastor of the Amman International Church. Upon returning to the United States ten years ago, Justin worked for four years as a People Group Missionary (PGM) in the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention (SBTC) where he and other PGMs planted churches in Texas among Muslim background believers. Justin completed his Ph.D. at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) in 2016 and is currently working at Scarborough College and SWBTS as an Assistant Professor of Missions and Islamic Studies. Justin and his wife also help lead the young adults at Southcliff Baptist Church. Justin completed his Master of Divinity degree at Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary (2007), and his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University (1992). Justin and his wife Cindy have been married for twenty-eight years. They live in Ft. Worth, TX, and have three children—Samuel/25; Hannah/23; and Caleb/21.

Dr. David Garrison
For more than 30 years Dr. David Garrison has been a missionary pioneer. His focus has been global strategy with assignments spanning much of what has been called the 10/40 Window. Garrison’s efforts to understand and join God’s global mission have led him to study a dozen languages and travel to more than 100 countries. Garrison has a PhD from the University of Chicago, with additional degrees from Golden Gate Seminary, Ouachita Baptist University and Seinan Gakuin University in Japan. He has lectured widely including Fuller Theological Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Columbia Biblical Seminary. He is the author and/or editor of several books including The Nonresidential Missionary (1990), Something New Under the Sun (IMB, 1998), and Church Planting Movements (2004), which has been translated into more than twenty languages. More recently, Dr. Garrison has edited internationally acclaimed resources that have been translated into multiple languages, including Steve Smith’s T4T: A Discipleship Re-Revolution (2011), Kevin Greeson’s The Camel, How Muslims Are Coming to Faith in Christ! (2007), and Mike Shipman’s Any-3: Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime (2012). Dr. Garrison’s most recent book, A Wind in the House of Islam, surveys 45 Muslim movements to Christ that are currently underway. Dr. Kent Parks is a globally connected mission leader and speaker, and he has led Beyond (previously named Mission to Unreached Peoples) since 2008. He and his wife Erika, (Beyond’s Director of Training), served 20 years as missionaries in Southeast Asia, where they focused on reaching whole Muslim Unreached People Groups (UPGs).
He also serves as Co-Facilitator for the Ethne Global UPG Initiative (www.ethne.net); as Catalyst for Least Evangelized Peoples on the Lausanne Committee on World Evangelization. Prior to mission service, Kent served as a pastor for 7 years and as a seminary professor, and he has a Ph.D. in mission strategy. Kent and Erika have two grown daughters who love and serve Jesus.

Mariya Dostzadah Goodbrake is the founder and director of Branch Global, delivering intercultural solutions, diversity and inclusion training, and migrant services. Mariya is also the founder and Executive Director of Global FC, a non-profit organization based in Kansas City that uses soccer as a vehicle for transformative impact, supporting refugee youth and families with the tools to overcome obstacles to success. A native Afghan raised in Iran and India, before immigrating to Canada with her family, she relocated to America in 2012. She is a Member of Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research USA (SIETAR USA). Previously, she served in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico for three years with International Medical Assistance, a medical missions organization. She served with Hope for Ishmael (USA, Jericho) and also The Crescent Project (USA) as regional director and assisted in the development and launch of their Women’s Program. Mariya is also a Cultural Diversity Professional (CDP), active public speaker, intercultural trainer, researcher and training curriculum developer. With a background in refugee resettlement, direct ministry, and cross-cultural training, she assists multiple organizations in faith-based initiatives. Her areas of expertise include: youth and sports development, diaspora community, insight into Muslim identity and how to effectively build bridges with Muslim populations. As the only Afghan representative, she participated in the 2016 Lausanne Movement gathering in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is an alumni Next Generation Leader for the Center for Global Missions. She is a regular lecturer in Latin America for Perspectives: On the World Christian Movement. She also serves as a board member with CCA (Concerned Christians for Afghanistan). She has been featured in news publications in the US, Canada, Mexico, Panama and most recently, Germany. She is an awardee for her Global FC short film at the Interfaith and Global Business peace awards that was held in March 2018 in South Korea. She studied at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada in Political Science and International Relations. She is fluent in English, Dari and Farsi.

Dr. Mitchell W. Duininck
Dr. Mitchell W. Duininck is the President/CEO of In His Image, Inc. and Program Director of the In His Image Family Medicine Residency. This program emphasizes training doctors in Christ-centered whole person medicine and preparing them for service to the medically underserved. Many of the graduates of this program are full-time medical missionaries. Dr. Duininck is also the CEO of In His Image International and Good Samaritan Health Services. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine.
Dr. Duininck has done medical missions in many countries, including India, Kenya, Ghana, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, Cambodia, Russia, Romania, and the Czech Republic. He has led multiple medical crisis response teams to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Honduras, Indonesia, Pakistan, Myanmar, Nepal, Iraq, and Turkey.
Dr. Duininck and his wife Leah have six children and three grandchildren. As a family, they served as medical missionaries at Manna Mission Hospital in Ghana, West Africa, for two years and for one year in Kabul, Afghanistan, helping train Afghan physicians in the Hope Family Medicine Afghanistan Residency Program.

Dr. Grant Lovejoy has been Director of Orality Strategies for International Mission Board since 2004, where he is a member of IMB’s global strategy leadership team. Grant leads a team that develops heart-language Scripture resources in appropriate media, especially for Bible-less languages and oral cultures. He also advocates for contextualizing church leadership training and theological education for oral cultures. Since 2009 Grant has overseen IMB’s outreach to 34 million culturally-Deaf people around the world.
Grant has been a pastor to students, church planter, pastor, and seminary professor. He has contributed to and co-edited five books, including Biblical Hermeneutics and Making Disciples of Oral Learners. With Samuel E. Chiang he has edited three books: Beyond Literate Western Models: Contextualizing Theological Education for Oral Contexts; Beyond Literate Western Practices: Continuing Conversations in Orality and Theological Education, and Beyond Literate Western Contexts: Honor and Shame and Assessment of Orality Preference.

Brooke Parks oversees Global Outreach and Strategy for The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM). VOM is an interdenominational Christian missions organization dedicated to serving our persecuted family worldwide through practical and spiritual assistance and leading other members of the body of Christ into fellowship with them.
Brooke helps lead VOM’s ministry in the U.S of engaging believers in the United States with their persecuted family throughout the world. She frequently shares about the persecuted as a keynote speaker, specifically at universities and at conferences and events, and also writes for VOM. Brooke is the producer and leader of Exile Night, an interactive opportunity for students to identify with persecuted Christians by spending one night in “exile,” living as a refugee. Brooke has served in many nations in Africa, Asia, Europe, Central America and the Middle East, meeting face to face with persecuted believers.

Tahmina Martelly was born and brought up in a fairly strict Muslim family. Through the amazing grace and redemptive power of God, she encountered Jesus in the most unlikely of places; in the middle of war. Tahmina firmly believes that each of us has a beautiful story of grace that only we can share as the master author crafts us. You will be challenged to live life to your fullest potential through Tahmina’s engaging speaking style, her story and biblical knowledge.
Tahmina has preached and spoken in several retreats, conferences and prisons and churches in the United States and in several Caribbean countries. Tahmina currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband. She has two grown children. Tahmina and her husband recently started a new church plant in the Salt Lake City area. She is actively involved in refugee resettlement and mentoring in Salt Lake City and teaches nutrition at the University of Utah.

Jay Long received an MA in Intercultural Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky. He has served with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Amman, Jordan and is a licensed worker in the Southwestern District of the C&MA. For almost two years, Jay has worked for World Relief Fort Worth and is currently the Director of Church Mobilization.

Kate McCord
Kate McCord lived and worked in Afghanistan from 2005 to 2010. During her years in the country, she worked as a humanitarian aid worker, delivering projects to benefit the people of Afghanistan. She also learned the local language and developed deep and lasting friendships with local Afghans. After evacuating from her home in Afghanistan, Ms. McCord transitioned into a mentoring, training, consulting, and coaching role to other workers serving in the region.
Prior to moving to Afghanistan, Ms. McCord worked in the international corporate community as a business process and strategy consultant. Currently, Ms. McCord serves Christ through writing, speaking, and providing spiritual direction for individuals and groups. Dr. Miriam Adeney, Associate Professor of World Christian Studies at Seattle Pacific University Dr. Adeney is an anthropologist, a missiologist, and an author whose passions include global Christianity, world religions, gender, oral art genres, economic community development, multiethnic ministry, diasporas, training writers for publication, and preparing workers for cross-cultural living. Dr. Adeney’s newest book, Daughters of Islam: Building Bridges with Muslim Women is based on interviews with women from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman and has been translated into five languages.
She serves on the board of Christianity Today International, is a mission associate of the World Evangelical Alliance Mission Commission, is a member of the diaspora task force of the Lausanne Movement, is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement award from the Christians for Biblical Equality, and is past president of the American Society of Missiology.
At Seattle Pacific University she chairs the faculty advisory committee of the Asian American Ministry Program. She is also a teaching fellow at Regent College. Dr. Adeney speaks regularly for the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement; Overseas Ministry Study Center; Koinos; Encountering Islam; Media Associates International; InterVarsity; and diverse denominational events. She has authored more than 150 articles or book chapters, as well as six books. In many countries, spanning five continents, she is invited to lecture at universities and conferences. Southeast Asia, Latin America, and North American multiethnic communities are areas of long term interest. Also deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Adeney is married, the mother of three sons, and a member of Seattle’s University Presbyterian Church. Her academic degrees are from Wheaton College (BA, anthropology); Syracuse University (MA, journalism); and Washington State University (PhD, anthropology).

Beverly Pegues is co-founder and president of the Window International Network, a Christian organization. WIN informs, equips, and mobilizes networks of prayer around the globe to pray strategically for the 10/40 Window nations. A career paralegal turned minister. Beverly speaks at conferences, churches, and retreats nationally and internationally on prayer, spiritual warfare, Biblical leadership, and missions. She has led prayer-centered ministry trips in many of the 10/40 Window countries.
Beverly worked has worked as a career legal assistant and real estate broker. She also owned and managed her paralegal and realty company. She was founder and director of a youth-based performing arts group, worked on many ministry and community-based projects, and was a member of the International Third World Leadership Association. She was one of the founding members of the International Prayer Council.
Beverly attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and earned a paralegal certificate there. She has taken numerous law office management and paralegal classes from Denver University School of Law and Continuing Legal Education of Colorado. She also studied business administration and management at Pikes Peak Community College. Beverly lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has an adult daughter.

Dr. Robert C. Douglas
Dr. Robert C. Douglas recently served Pioneer Bible Translators as a consultant in areas of ministry to Muslims. He has also been adjunct faculty of the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics (GIAL), where he taught Multicultural Leadership and courses related to Islamic worldviews.
The Douglases worked for 10 years as missionaries to Muslims in the Middle East, working in Libya, Egypt, and Lebanon. Later he directed the Zwemer Institute of Muslim Studies, an interdenominational agency created to prepare people for work in the Muslim world. He taught Ministry to Muslims courses for the Southern Baptist International Mission Board, the Assemblies of God’s Center for Ministry to Muslims, and TCMI Institute in Austria for twelve years. Training national leaders for these organizations took him to places as diverse as Brazil, Myanmar (Burma), India, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Ukraine, Russia, and Eastern Europe to present intensive courses. He established the Central Asia Studies Center in Istanbul which provided final phase of preparation for people entering Central Asia. He also was Professor of Intercultural Studies teaching Missions and Ministry to Muslims for fourteen years at Lincoln Christian Seminary in Illinois prior to coming to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. He has preached for churches in Oklahoma, Texas (University Church of Christ – Abilene) and California (Malibu Church of Christ on the campus of Pepperdine University)
Dr. Douglas has MA degrees from Abilene Christian University (Biblical Languages) and Fuller Theological Seminary (Missiology) as well as a Ph. D. from the University of Southern California. (Religion – Social Ethics).
Dr. Jeffrey Seif
Dr. Jeffrey Seif
Dr. Jeffrey Seif holds doctorates from Southern Methodist University and the Graduate Theological Foundation. Dr. Seif is a Messianic Jew and is the author of To the Ends of the Earth and TLV Psalms: Hope and Healing from the Hebrew Scriptures. Dr. Seif has served as a theology of ministry professor for twenty-eight years and is a Distinguished Professor of Bible and Jewish Studies at Kings University.

David Eubank
David is the author of the book Do this for Love: Free Burma Rangers in the Battle of Mosul and he and his family are featured in the movie Free Burma Rangers, A Family Brings Hope to the Frontline.

An in-person exhibitor booth for $300 includes a six-foot display table, recognition during the conference and two complimentary individual registrations to attend.
